Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. As a user, customer or prospective customer, you are responsible for reading and understanding these terms before using our website or services. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not register for or use our services

Football API was established to provide a high-quality football API at competitive prices, making football data accessible to users worldwide. Our mission is to support and grow the popularity of football, particularly among young fans and in developing regions around the world.

We continually work to add new services and data endpoints and improve existing ones.

The terms and conditions governing the use of our football API are set out below.

  1. 1. Free Trial
    • 1.1 Each account is eligible for one free trial only.
    • 1.2 The free trial lasts for 10-day. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials is strictly prohibited. Football API reserves the right to take appropriate action in response to any misuse, including suspending trials or subscriptions. No refunds will be provided where these terms have been violated.
    • 1.3 We reserve the right to block registrations and terminate free trials if we discover that a user has registered multiple accounts using different email addresses to access additional trials.
    • 1.4 In certain circumstances, the Football API team may choose to extend your trial period. For example, an extension may be available if you follow us on our social accounts and let us know.
    • 1.5 Upgrading or downgrading your subscription does not entitle you to another free trial.
    • 1.6 If you delete your account during or after your 10-day trial, we will retain relevant information in accordance with GDPR requirements so that we can identify whether you have previously used a free trial if you register again.
    • 1.7 Football API reserves the right to terminate your free trial at any time without notice even if the reason for termination is not specified in these terms and conditions.

  3. 2. Paid Subscriptions
    • 2.1 Subscription payments are processed through our payment provider, Stripe, and require a valid payment card.
    • 2.2 Each subscription includes prepaid and postpaid charges. The prepaid charge provides access to our data and includes the daily request limit specified in your chosen package. Requests that exceed this daily limit will be charged separately on a daily basis.
    • 2.3 Subscription fees are paid in advance for each 30-day period unless otherwise stated for the relevant product, subscription plan, package or service. The 10-day free trial is not subject to payment. Please see our pricing page for further information.
    • 2.4 Your subscription will automatically renew every 30 days until you cancel it. Stripe will automatically charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method.
    • 2.5 If a renewal payment fails, you will receive a 2-day grace period during which you can continue accessing our data while resolving the issue with your payment method.
    • 2.6 If your prepaid subscription has been paid but additional charges for exceeding your quota remain unpaid, we reserve the right to suspend your access until the outstanding balance is paid. No refunds will be issued for any period of suspended access.
    • 2.7 By starting a subscription, you acknowledge that we may display your logo on our website to identify you as a client. Your logo may remain on our website after you cancel your subscription.

  5. 3. Missed Payments
    • 3.1 If a scheduled payment is missed, you will have a 2-day grace period to make the payment. After this period, access to football API data will be suspended until the outstanding balance has been paid in full.
    • 3.2 If your usage exceeds your daily quota, the additional usage will be billed separately. If payment is not made within 2 days of billing, your API access will be suspended. Interest will accrue on the outstanding amount at an annual rate of 10.25%, calculated daily until the balance is paid in full.
    • 3.3 By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree to pay any third-party costs reasonably incurred in recovering outstanding payments, including debt collection and legal costs.
    • 3.4 Late payments or payments resulting from non-compliance will incur an administrative fee equal to 10% of the outstanding amount, subject to a minimum charge of €75, to cover processing and handling costs.

  7. 4. Cancellation
    • 4.1 You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will not be charged for the next billing period.
    • 4.2 Your access to our data will end immediately when you cancel your subscription. No refunds will be provided.
    • 4.3 If you want to retain access until the end of your current billing period, you should cancel on the final day of that period.
    • 4.4 Your logo may continue to be displayed on our website after you cancel your subscription.

  9. 5. Changes to Subscription Plans
    • 5.1 Football API reserves the right to modify its subscription plans, including the pricing, services and features included in each package.

  11. 6. Communications:
    • 6.1 You may receive marketing communications from us, including promotions and newsletters.
    • 6.2 When you register, you may receive a series of introductory emails and helpful resources designed to help you get the most from your trial.
    • 6.3 We will not share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
    • 6.4 We may send you service and transactional emails, including information about new football API features.

  13. 7. Liability
    • 7.1 Football API is not responsible for how you use our data feed or for any consequences resulting from your use of our data. Our data is curated by humans and may contain errors, although we work to maintain the highest possible level of data quality.
    • 7.2 Our services are managed by a professional hosting provider and use multiple cloud providers. However, we cannot be held responsible for data being unavailable as a result of server downtime.
    • 7.3 Football API accepts no responsibility for financial or other losses or damages arising from the use or termination of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, commercial losses, loss of benefits, anticipated earnings, winnings or other profits, business interruption, loss of commercial information, or any other financial or consequential loss.
    • 7.4 We will normally contact customers about breaches of these terms and conditions before taking further action. However, we reserve the right to terminate the account of any customer who breaches these terms without prior notice.

  15. 8. Usage Limits
    • 8.1 Request limits are calculated daily, from 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC. Requests exceeding the quota included in your package will be charged separately at the rates specified for that package.
    • 8.2 Exceeding your daily request quota will not result in your service being terminated.
    • 8.3 You must keep your API key and secret confidential. They are used to track your quota usage, and exposing them may allow third parties to use your account and generate additional charges for which you may be responsible.
    • 8.4 Forgetfulness, technical issues or endless loops do not exempt you from charges for exceeding your daily quota. All HTTP(S) requests made to our servers are recorded and counted towards your usage.

  17. 9. Team Logos
    • 9.1 Non-Commercial Use: Team logos may not be commercialized or used for marketing, sales or other commercial activities. They must not be used in connection with any company in a way that could suggest that the company is a club sponsor.
    • 9.2 Informational Use Only: Team logos may only be used for informational purposes, including in connection with match updates, goals, news, standings, player information and similar football content, such as live scores.
    • 9.3 Creative Commons License: The logos are distributed under a ShareAlike license. You may use them provided that they are shared under the same license and are not used for commercial purposes.
    • 9.4 Prohibited Uses: Team logos must not be used to sell products or for any other commercial purpose. Unauthorized use may result in legal action by the relevant team.
    • 9.5 Permission Required: All rights to team logos remain with the respective teams. You must obtain explicit permission from the relevant team for any additional use.

  19. 10. General Terms
    • 10.1 You are responsible for keeping the contact details on your account up to date so that you receive important service information and updates.
    • 10.2 Each account is for individual use. You must not share your account credentials with other users or customers.
    • 10.3 You must not reproduce football API’s services in a way that imitates our web services. Our data is intended for use within websites, mobile applications and other software or hardware solutions and not for reselling.
    • 10.4 Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden.

  21. 11. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
  22. If you initiate a payment dispute, chargeback or payment reversal through your bank, card issuer or payment provider for a transaction relating to our services, the following terms apply:
    • 11.1 A non-refundable administrative fee of €50 will be charged for each dispute to cover the costs of investigation, evidence preparation and communication with banks and payment providers.
    • 11.2 By subscribing to our services, you authorize us to charge this dispute-handling fee to your original payment method or add it to any outstanding balance.
    • 11.3 Filing a dispute does not remove your obligation to pay valid subscription fees, usage-based charges or outstanding invoices.
    • 11.4 Repeated or fraudulent disputes may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination without a refund.
    • 11.5 We encourage you to contact our support team to resolve any billing concerns before opening a dispute with your bank, card issuer or payment provider.

We may update these terms and conditions at any time. You are responsible for checking this page regularly for changes. Any changes we make will be binding on you.
